OCC Publishes CRA Ratings for 19 Banks in October 2026
Federal regulators released Community Reinvestment Act evaluations for 19 national banks and federal savings associations covering October 2026.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency published its monthly batch of Community Reinvestment Act performance evaluations on Thursday, covering 19 national banks and federal savings associations whose ratings became public during October 2026.
The CRA, a federal law enacted in 1977, requires bank regulators to assess how well financial institutions meet the credit and banking needs of the communities where they operate, with particular attention to low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. The OCC conducts these evaluations as the primary federal regulator for national banks and federal savings associations.

Monthly CRA disclosure reports are a routine part of the OCC's oversight mandate, providing public transparency into which institutions are fulfilling their community lending obligations and which may face scrutiny. Ratings can range from Outstanding to Substantial Noncompliance and can influence a bank's ability to pursue mergers, acquisitions, or branch expansions.
The October 2026 release continues the OCC's standard practice of publishing evaluation results on a rolling monthly basis, allowing community groups, investors, and policymakers to monitor bank performance in underserved markets.
