AXA XL Names Rana Gillmon to Lead East Zone Client Operations
AXA XL expands Rana Gillmon's role to oversee client and distribution activities across the East Zone alongside her existing Americas duties.
AXA XL has appointed Rana Gillmon to an expanded leadership position that adds oversight of client and distribution operations in the company's East Zone to her existing responsibilities, the insurer announced Tuesday from New York.
Gillmon, who previously served as Head of Client & Distribution, East and Private Equity Client Relations for the Americas, will now carry a broader mandate that encompasses the full scope of East Zone client-facing and distribution activities. The move signals AXA XL's intent to consolidate regional leadership under a single executive with deep familiarity in both client relations and distribution strategy.

The appointment reflects a broader industry trend among large commercial insurers to streamline regional management structures, allowing senior leaders to coordinate more closely across product lines and geographies. By folding East Zone leadership into Gillmon's existing portfolio, AXA XL positions the role as a bridge between its Americas-wide strategy and on-the-ground client relationships in the eastern United States.
AXA XL, the property and casualty and specialty risk division of the AXA Group, operates across a wide range of commercial insurance and reinsurance segments.
